The Coming of Christ to Jerusalem

Luke:19:30 - 38

30 Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither.

31 And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.

32 And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them.

33 And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?

34 And they said, The Lord hath need of him.

35 And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon.

36 And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.

37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;

38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

That Jesus, our God, might set us apart and cleanse us, His Church, by the washing of the water of His Word.

God's Word, Verse by Verse

At Calvary Chapel of Rock Hill, we seek to discover the nature and character of God by studying God’s word verse by verse. Psalms 19:9 tells us that "The fear of the Lord is more valuable than gold and discovering it tastes sweeter even than honey."

We invite you to join us this Sunday to see what we are all about!

Who We Are

Gaining a Deeper Love for

Christ and Others

Calvary Chapel was formed as a fellowship of believers in the Lordship of Jesus Christ. We are a casual, welcoming church where you will find friendly people and in-depth preaching.

We are a non-denominational church. We believe that the only true basis of Christian fellowship is His (Agape) love, which is greater than any differences we possess, and without which we have no right to claim ourselves Christians.

What We Do

Providing A Solid Foundation to Grow On

At Calvary Chapel Rock Hill, we are all about holding fast to the Word of God. We are a place of warm and friendly fellowship, where anyone looking for a place to put down roots and serve God can come to grow, learn, and worship together.

We go beyond just meeting on Sundays. Our church family equips and encourages one another to know Christ and to be conformed into His image by the power of the Holy Spirit.

New to

Our Church?

  • How did the Calvary Chapel church get started?

Calvary Chapel started in Costa Mesa, CA in 1965 under Pastor Chuck Smith. This ministry started with a humble congregation of only 25 people. From the youngest to the oldest, everyone was welcomed without judgment. The church served in the midst of a strong movement of the Holy Spirit that spread from the West Coast to the East Coast and around the world. Pastor Chuck Smith stressed the teaching of God's Word throughout his ministry, and this expositional approach to Bible teaching has helped millions of people all across the globe better understand God's Word. What started as a small local church has since expanded into a multinational family of over 1,700 churches around the world!

  • Am I able to submit a special prayer request online?

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." -Philippians 4:6-7
